Bis zum Horizont und zurück – To the horizon and back (2007 / MDR/RBB/Phönix / 45 Min.)

In a yacht club just outside East-Berlin shortly after the building of the wall 30 people are building an ocean-going yacht – despite a shortage of materials, and being under observation by the Stasi. After completing the construction work the GDR crew manages to navigate the ship on her maiden voyage as far as the Mediterranean Sea. The clever politicking activities - the pact with the devil - however took its toll: many helpers were sorted out by cadre politics and had to stay home. The ones who were allowed to travel, were not alone on board the ship: the Stasi was sailing along with them. Who was the traitor?
